• Function

1.Speed Reduction and Torque Increase: It can reduce the input rotational speed and increase the output torque. By utilizing the meshing relationship among the sun gear, planetary gears, and ring gear, different transmission ratios can be obtained. According to the principle of gear transmission, when the power is input from the sun gear and output from the planetary carrier with the ring gear fixed, a reduction - speed and torque - increasing effect can be achieved, meeting the requirement of low - speed and high - torque during the excavator's operation, such as in digging and lifting operations.

2.Power Shunt: The planetary gear can distribute the power from the engine to multiple planetary gears. These planetary gears share the load together, which makes the force on the main shaft balanced. This not only enhances the bearing capacity of the gear system but also is beneficial to improving the reliability and service life of the gear system, enabling the excavator to stably transmit power under heavy - load working conditions.
