| Working Principle | 1. Hydraulic oil at system pressure enters the valve’s inlet port
and is blocked by the spool in the neutral position |
| 2. Actuation (manual lever, solenoid, or pilot pressure) moves the
spool to open flow paths to outlet ports connected to actuators
(cylinders/motors) |
| 3. The spool’s position controls the volume and direction of oil
flow: partial spool movement = reduced flow (slow actuator speed);
full movement = maximum flow (full speed) |
| 4. When actuation stops, the spring-centered spool returns to
neutral, closing flow paths and holding the actuator in position |
| 5. The integrated relief valve opens if pressure exceeds the rated
limit, diverting oil back to the tank to prevent component damage |
